I came here years ago and had several large paintings framed. They did a wonderful job! I returned with a watercolor of flamingos and an embroidery from Vietnam. I am once again extremely satisfied! I've been framing a little too much lately. While being isolated in my house, I've noticed how empty all the walls were. I've taken a lot of art to Artistic Framing to get framed.

I can't say that it's cheap, but I distinctly remember my mom complaining when I was younger about how expensive getting things framed was. So now I know first hand. Despite the pretty pennies spent, I know that the job will be done on time, and that I'm going to be happy with the outcome. I also appreciate the artistic direction that the owner gives as well. I've gone in with an idea, but he'll often show me alternatives, or give me his opinion of why it may not look like I imagine (for example, blocking signatures with frames too thick).

My family has been going here for years. The frames are beautifully done. While the frames can lean towards the more expensive side, it's worth every penny. The owner does them by hand, in a short period of time, and will talk you through the process, patiently switching out swaths and frames! I will never go anywhere else - I bring my art home from New York just to go here!

Michael's is ridiculously expensive compared to this place and it's legit quality work. I would highly recommend this place for anything frame or art related.

They have a promotion for a free print with purchase of $100 which we happily took advantage of, too. We even got our free print framed for cheap. We have lived in the neighborhood for 10 years and have gotten all of our artwork framed here. We feel good supporting a "mom and pop" shop, and our walls are now a gallery of beautifully framed art. Every piece is meticulous and professionally done. They even have preservation glass for pieces that are getting older and are starting to fade. Great value and friendly, professional service!

This guy saved my life! I am an artist who does my own framing. I had ordered a large, ornate gold frame from another area framer, and it came in the wrong size, without enough time to reorder a new one before my big exhibition. I remembered that I had purchased some ornate gold moulding on sale years ago, went digging for it, and took it to artistic framing... I know that the moulding was difficult to work with, but these guys did an amazing last minute job for a very reasonable price. Cannot recommend highly enough!

I don't frame very often. No idea what it should cost. Hassan was easy to work with and steered me to an option I liked. I decided not to run around to see if I could find it for less. I love the final result, and if I could have saved any money elsewhere, it wasn't worth it to me to find out.

This place is hands down the most affordable framing shop in the D.C. Metro area. The turn around time is a week or less. The staff is talented, experienced and honest. They have elevated my art work to a whole other level!

The owner was friendly and knowledgeable. I brought three paintings to him and asked for help picking frames. He found the perfect complimentary frame in seconds, and even though I couldn't visualize it, when I saw the final product, he was right.

I have been getting pieces frames here for at least 10 years. In fact, I had a piece repaired and a new piece framed last month, and have one that is ready for pick up now. Every piece looked better than expected, and was ready on time. There are always frames on sale from which one can choose to further reduce prices. I even purchased an original oil on canvas, and they were kind enough to allow me to pay on installment. Prices are reasonable. The owner/operator is very friendly, and the work top notch. I absolutely love this place.

Great location to go and get an exp opinion about art. I had the pleasure to work with the owner for getting a few oil painting framed. The owner was patient and knowledgeable. I wanted to price shop and found the owner to be supportive and not pushy at all.

I would rate my experience as 5 stars. Few gems like these still exists and survive as local businesses in the face of mega giants and Internet based economy. However, with something as abstract as art, you want a guide with experience and good opinions and options.

I had 4 Yoshida woodblock prints. Hassan did a masterful job framing them. He has a superb sense of color and picked the perfect mats and frames.

This shop does absolutely great work, and the prices are reasonable depending on what you have, and they have frames that will some time cut down on the prices, I so recommend Artistic Framing for your next work of art. I have been using them for years and the framing is the best yet!!!

They did a great job framing my diplomas, and they were far more affordable than Michael's or the other big craft stores.

They were also very patient when it took me a while to pick them up. I definitely plan to take my art there in the future!

Great shop! They did some great work for me on some posters. The price was a little higher but really you can get the price down with cheaper frames. I will be returning soon to have them do some more work for me.

I went to Artistic Framing after reading the reviews on Yelp and I am so glad I did. I had two pieces framed at a reasonable price in a short time frame. The owner helped me pick out a mat and frame for one of the pieces and it turned out much better than if I had done what I originally planned. All around great experience! I will be back!

I went here on the unanimous recommendations of my neighbors who said this was *the* place to get stuff framed. Talk about local knowledge my neighbors were exactly right. This small frame store is a local treasure. Knowledgeable, fast, incredibly well priced. Could not have been happier with my experience. Artistic Custom Framing has been in business for 40 years and, if we are lucky, they'll stay for 40 more.

For my Christmas gift-giving this year, 2012 was the Year of the Print...I had 5 prints and paintings from local artists that needed framing. I think I'm generous with gift-giving, but I do have a budget. I stopped by Artistic Framing in Wheaton planning to get a few of the prints custom framed, but wait and try to frame the others myself, with stock frames and mats, just to save a few bucks.

But I was pleasantly surprised at the price quotes that Artistic Framing gave me for the first two prints, so I decided to get them all custom framed by Artistic Framing. The price quote for a simple black wood frame, approximately 9x12inches, with mat, was in the same ballpark as the price of a stock frame and mat at the local art supply chain store.

I was very pleased with the quality of the framing, and was quite proud to present them as gifts. I'll bring my own framing work to Artistic Framing in the future.

I almost hate to give away this secret, but Artistic Framing is the best framing store in the DC area (and I've been to lots). The frame selection is great, the prices are more than reasonable, and the workmanship is stellar. Hassan is willing to spend lots of time with customers looking at frame after frame and, if you want, he'll give advice and guidance on how to make your art look fantastic. Recently, the store has begun showing and selling the work of local artists, which makes a trip there always interesting.
